PDX Jazz is back with live jazz at The Hoxton's Lobby Bar, bringing live music and crafted cocktails to the heart of downtown. Starting Friday, April 17, unwind each week from 5–7 PM with intimate performances from some of Portland’s most dynamic jazz artists.

Artist: Akila Fields Trio

Akila Fields is a Portland-based musician, photographer, and creative known for work in experimental, electronic, and soul music. He is a multi-hyphenate musician in Portland, Oregon. He makes shoegazing R&B as Palm Dat. As a member of pop R&B outfit Shy Girls, he toured the country, sharing stages with Maxwell, Little Dragon, HAIM, and more. Every Saturday, he co-hosts ‘Intuitive Navigation, ’ a radio show on xray.fm. He recently directed and scored an experimental hybrid music video/short film, ‘I Saw the Mountain’, which debuted at the Portland Panorama film festival.
